I’m waiting for my SPM results, can I attend
Aircraft Mechanic Level 1 course? |
| Yes, you can. Aircraft
Mechanic Level 1 is a basic aviation course and
is open to all aviation enthusiasts, with or without
experience. |

Does APR - Aviation Training Centre provide jobs
for those who have completed Aircraft Mechanic Level
1 course? |
| No. We would suggest
students try to find a job in the industry first.
If there is any enquiry from aviation organizations,
we will certainly inform the students.
Students may also submit their resume to Aero
Precision Resources (APR) Vendor division, as APR
is one of the registered aviation manpower
suppliers for MAS. |

I have a Diploma in Engineering, am I eligible for
the APR-TAME program? |
| We accept students
with Diploma / Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical,
Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics,
Telecommunication or Instrumentation
Engineering. |

| 4)
Will I be exempted from any aviation subjects due
to my Diploma / Degree in Engineering? |
| No.
APR-Aviation Training Centre conducts structured
program based on DCA (M) Part 66 syllabus; thus students are required to follow
through the set program with no exemptions. |

| 5)
How long does it take for a fresh student (non-aviation
background) to obtain his/her license? |
| Duration period would
be from 4 - 5 years (starting from Aircraft Mechanic
Level 1). |

| 6)
What are the requirements to sit for DCA LWTR examination? |
The requirements :
a) be currently employed in an aviation-related
organization
b) have working experience on ‘live’
aircraft for four years, and
c) be over the age of 21 years old
d) be able to read, write and carry out technical
discussion in the English language

Does APR - Aviation Training Centre guarantee or
will find me a job in the aviation industry after
I pass DCA LWTR examination? |
| With the present job
market, LWTR license holders are in demand locally.
APR-Aviation Training Centre does not provide employment
to students, however, we may assist them in their
job search. Unless the trainees are under special
collaboration such as APR-MHS-Yayasan Terengganu
TAME program, MHS will absorb them as their staffs
once they obtain LWTR. |

What are the prospects and benefits after obtaining
LWTR? |
| By having LWTR, you
can seek employment globally. Then, your employer
will send you for type rating course eg. type of
aircraft you are going to cover under your responsibilities. |

| 9)
As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, what is the average
salary scale? |
| The salary for a Licensed
Aircraft Engineer varies, depending on which airline
he/she works, his/her licence coverage and experience.
A highly experienced aircraft engineer can sometimes
earn more than RM 100k per annum. |

Is there any scholarship / study loan available
for the aviation courses conducted at APR - Aviation
Training Centre? |
| Currently,
study loans/sponsorships/scholarships are only
available to APR-TAME program and LWTR Program
(PERHEBAT - for ex-RMAF). |

APR-Aviation Training Centre programs are conducted
part-time or full-time? |
| TAME
program and short courses such as Human Factors
are conducted full-time.
However, most of the other programs
are being conducted on part-time basis, unless there
is a special request from the industry, we will
cater under customer’s requirements.

How soon can any program be started? |
| APR-Aviation Training
Centre requires minimum of 10 students before any
class can be conducted. |
